Update July 15, 10:55 AM ET: It appears that Amazon has withdrawn the invite requests at this point. Hopefully this is a sign of more console deal opportunities, especially as the Xbox Series X is becoming more readily available.

The console replenishment scene has slowly improved over the course of a few months, with the Xbox Series S on sale almost everywhere, the Xbox Series X available without nearly as many problems as it has in the past, and even the PlayStation 5 is getting more reliable windows replenishment. What is still rare on those last two are discounts or savings. But right now, if you act fast, you might be able to get a deal on the Xbox Series X from Amazon.

During its Prime Day hangover, the ecommerce giant is allowing you to apply for an invite to buy the Xbox Series X for $441.17 (although it’s a bit of a moving target considering it’s just $ 443 wax). Request an invite on the product page while logged into your Amazon account, then check your email to see if you’re one of the lucky ones. If so, you have up to 72 hours to purchase your console.

Xbox Series X

The Xbox Series X is Microsoft’s flagship console and serves as its most powerful (and largest) option. While the Series S is focused on smooth 1440p performance and takes a discless approach, the $500 Series X is focused on fast 4K gameplay.

We’ve seen Amazon request invites to the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 before, but never while renewing a discount. I’ll admit this may be total nonsense, but if you’re in the market for an Xbox, you might as well try and save some money here. Then your first $60 game is essentially free. Good luck!
