Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, has just launched its first wearable device called the Redmi band.
This is their foray into the wearable market as they’re planning to expand into multiple categories.
As you know, Xiaomi is already one of the top players in terms of fitness trackers under Mi brand.
But, the Redmi Band is mainly focused as an entry-level tracker and is priced lower compared to the Mi Smart Band.
Redmi Band Specifications
The Redmi Band comes with a 1.08 inch rectangular color display, which is similar to other fitness bands in the market.
The Smart band, as claimed by the company, will be able to deliver up to 14 days of battery life and comes with a built-in USB charging port that can easily be charged by plugging into a USB-A port on any USB charger, laptop or PC.
It comes with an optical heart rate sensor that helps you monitor heart rates during your workout sessions as well as throughout the day and night.
The sleep monitoring feature help you know how many hours you sleep, REM cycles and sleep quality.
Other features include activity tracking and sedentary reminder.
Xiaomi Redmi Band Pricing and Availability
It comes in four color options: Black, Blue, Green, and Orange.
The Redmi Band is currently available in China for a price of CNY 99 (~ USD 14), and will go on sale starting April 9.
As of now, there is no word on when will this Redmi Band be launched in India. But, we’ll definitely let you know as we hear about it. Stay tuned.
