The Jabra Elite 3 TWS earbuds are one of the best earbuds in their price segment on the market right now.

The Danish brand Jabra is known for its perfect headphones. In recent years, it has built quite a reputation for its TWS earbuds by offering a mix of features at different price points. The only thing missing from its portfolio was a pair of inexpensive TWS earbuds that offered a diverse feature set and the same quality sound we’ve come to love over the years.

To fill this gap, Jabra launched the Jabra Elite 3 TWS earbuds at a price of INR 6,999. The newly launched Jabra Elite 3 comes with an impressive feature set including support for Qualcomm aptX HD audio, 6mm drivers, IP55 dust and water resistant coating and a runtime of approximately 28 days when included with the charging case. All these features make it look great on paper. But the real question is, is it equally as good in performance? We’ll try to answer that and more in the review below. So keep reading…

Jabra Elite 3 TWS Earbuds: Design

The Jabra Elite 3 TWS earbuds have a design very similar to the Elite 7 Active and the Elite 7 Pro TWS earbuds. It has a compact yet premium design tucked away in a charging case with a matte finish and subtle look.

Inside you will find triangular earplugs without stem. These earbuds have a flat top with built-in controls in the form of physical buttons instead of a touch panel. This means you have to press the buttons for these earbuds to do anything. Pressing the right button once plays/pauses music, while pressing two or three times skips a track forward or back. And holding down the right button turns up the volume. Similarly, pressing the left button once turns the ambient sound on or off, pressing twice activates the voice assistant and holding down the left button decreases the volume.

In use, the Jabra Elite 3 are extremely comfortable to wear and even with extended use, your ears will not tire. It certainly helps that they come with an IP55 dust and water resistant coating, making them immune to sweats or the occasional splash of water.

Jabra Elite 3 TWS Earbuds: Performance

In terms of audio, the Jabra Elite 3 keeps up with the legacy of its predecessors in audio quality. The sound is crystal clear and incredibly balanced. I love old country music and have listened to dozens of songs from the past — Take Me Home by John Denver, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, Angels Robbie Williams, I Knew I Loved You by Savage Garden, and Hero by Enrique for a Single. What I like about the Elite 3 TWS earbuds is that I could clearly hear every guitar string and even the backing vocalists’ voices.

I also listen to EDM classics like Faded by Alan Walker and my favorite Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams and I was amazed to see… rather… hear how it managed to produce a thumping bass sound with the right preset . You can also get the right setting based on your music choice via Jabra’s Sound+ app. As for videos, watching videos is also a joy thanks to support for Qualcomm’s AptX HD, which is especially useful for folks like me who watch shows and movies while at work (shh!).

In terms of call quality, the Jabra Elite 3 TWS earbuds offer decent sound quality during calls. The sound is not as clear as you would hear while listening to music and you hear a soft roar in the background. It almost sounds like you’re on a microphone. That said, they get the job done without a hitch. And there are support features that more than make up for this minor flaw. Elite 3 TWS earbuds, for example, automatically switch to HearThrough mode when you’re on a call, keeping you aware of your surroundings. It also keeps you from yelling when you speak. Apart from that, there are simple controls that allow you to connect or disconnect at the touch of a button.

Finally, the battery life. The Jabra Elite 3 TWS earbuds claim to provide up to 28 hours of total listening time with the charging case combined. The earphones deliver up to 7 hours of battery on a single charge, according to the company. During my time with them, I used them excessively for work-related conversations, group conversations with my family, and spending hours watching movies and shows together. I wore them until the battery ran out. During my use, the Jabra Elite 3 offered a battery backup of over 6 hours with continuous use.

Jabra Elite 3 TWS Earbuds: Conclusion

For the final verdict, I’d say the Jabra Elite 3 TWS earbuds are one of the best earbuds in their price segment on the market right now. They are comfortable to wear and resistant to water and they offer excellent sound quality, especially if you like a more balanced sound. It’s true they don’t come with an Active Noise Canceling feature and they don’t offer auto-pause once an earbud is removed, but if you can get past these things Elite 3 could be a good addition to your collection.
